Geprom participated today in the MarketPlace Industry 4.0, powered by the Catalan agency ACCIÓ, to present real and proven solutions for the connected industry in the most demanding sectors. During the session, the attending companies were able to get to know these solutions, interact with the providers, solve questions and study the implementation viability in their processes, products, and services.
Dario Cesena, CEO at Geprom, held a conference where he explained the primary technological solutions and success cases of the company in terms of the Smart Factory, making special emphasis in the importance of people in the way towards factories with more flexible, intelligent, and efficient processes.
During the speech, he presented the monitoring system Legato Sapient, and he showed real success cases in which the platform is used to plan, control, and monitor in real time all the information of the productive process (stocks, order planning, malfunctioning, production management, traceability, energy management, performance, and efficiency, among others).
The captured data is processes and stored in real time and is turned into personalized reports for their analysis and decision making.
One of the main things people reflected on during the session was the importance of having an automated factory, prepared for the application of digital technologies. In that sense, Geprom offers solutions that range from electrical engineering, PLC programming and communication networks, electrical installations and start-up of installations. From the automation of the factory, that’s when we have the possibility to treat the large quantities of data which machines, workshops, factories, clients, and providers generate.
Last, but not least, we have the people, which are the real main characters of this revolution. The industry is facing great changes, for which it is key that all departments and people involved in the processes are ready and with ambition to answer to the new demands of the 4.0.
Therefore, more than 20 industrial companies from Cataluña, providers of services surrounding the industry 4.0, were invited and were able to present their solutions and success cases. Moreover, there was time for individual meetings which allowed the attending organisations to create new bonds with the professionals in their sector.
