On June 1st, the Be Digital by BIEMH trade fair concluded, which took place at the Bilbao Exhibition Center, and was attended by over 42,000 visitors (5% more than in 2016). Thousands of professionals visited the exhibitors and attended conferences to get to know in real time the keys to the new manufacturing paradigms, arising from concepts such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, Big Data, or virtual and augmented reality.
Geprom attended as an exhibitor, where we were able to share the turnkey solutions we provide, which range from the integration of MES systems to the realization of industrial automation projects. In addition, visitors could see first-hand how production is controlled in real time through the MES LEGATO SAPIENT system. Geprom also participated in the cycle of presentations and took the opportunity to address one of the main current issues in industry 4.0: the digitalization of the factory and the control of production in real time.
Moreover, last March Geprom participated in the second edition of Advanced Factories, the fair where the latest in machine tools, industrial automation and software is presented. This edition had more than 12,000 speakers and visitors, and it had an economic impact of more than 22 million euros in the city of Barcelona. During a week in which more than 300 industrial innovations were presented, the fair proved to be one of the key meeting points for the actors involved in the fourth industrial revolution, not only at a local level, but within the European context.
Both fairs were a success, and they were consolidated as very complete spaces for the exchange and the projection, nationally and internationally, of this sector. Geprom is already preparing for its participation in the Advanced Factories fair of 2019, which will take place in April.
