Geprom Connecting Industries creates a subsidiary in Mexico

As part of its internationalization plan, Geprom has created a new subsidiary in Mexico. The engineering company, which in its strategic plan for 2019 included the objective of bringing its solutions to new markets, has confirmed today its permanent presence in the Mexican market.

Geprom had previously had contact with the Latin American country, beginning in early 2018 when they participated in a trade mission promoted by the Catalan agency ACCIÓ. During the trip, they presented their technological solutions in the environment of industry 4.0 and industrial automation, with the aim of bringing products and services to Mexican companies that would allow them to improve their processes and successfully face the fourth industrial revolution.

Mexican manufacturing is a growing sector and represents a market that is booming. The companies in the region have started their way to increase and maintain adoption of Industry 4.0 processes and solutions. Mexico is currently considered among the top 10 manufacturing countries worldwide, so its industry must advance in modernization to maintain and even overcome that position.

With this decision, Geprom seeks to participate in the process of advancing the digitalization and modernization of the Mexican industry. At the same time, it responds to the growing need to transform production environments, integrating new solutions offered by the 4.0 technologies: MES systems, Cloud Computing, Big Data, IoT, simulation, traceability, quality, and virtual and augmented reality. These technologies boost the most efficient, flexible, smart and personalized processes in real time.

To face this challenge, and with the aim of bringing their innovative solutions to this expanding market, Geprom solidifies their commitment to internationalization in the Mexican market, already started with the completion of several technological consulting projects at the Audi factory in Puebla and the Volkswagen factory in Silao.

The new company, under the name of Geprom Software Engineering SA. de CV, starts with the objective of continuing to develop and integrate technological solutions with high added value in the field of industry 4.0 and industrial automation, this time in the market with great potential that Mexico represents.
