During the months of June and July, Geprom joined the business associations Secartys and the IoT Catalan Alliance, aiming to strengthen the ties between Industry 4.0, the telecommunications sector, and IoT.
The goal of Geprom with these new affiliations is to combine efforts and define strategies to enhance its interaction with stakeholders and generate new business opportunities in an increasingly demanding and dynamic environment.
Regarding Secartys, Geprom was present on July 2nd at the Industry 4.0 working group commission organized by Acció and Secartys, which was born from the growing interest and involvement of many Secartys members in the digital transformation process of industry, or Industry 4.0.
In the case of the IoT Catalan Alliance, the association has classified Geprom as a success story and has published the real-time AGV monitoring project at the SEAT Barcelona factory on its website.
Secartys is organized as a cluster, integrating all value chain actors (companies, technology centers, universities, etc.). Currently, the association represents more than 1,200 entities, including direct members and integrated associations, and serves companies in the following sectors: electronics, ICT, electronic entertainment and leisure, solar energy and energy efficiency, home automation, smart cities, Industry 4.0, and lighting.
The IoT Catalan Alliance, promoted by the Government of Catalonia, is an initiative aimed at joining efforts and defining strategies among all actors involved in the Internet of Things (IoT) to boost this emerging sector in Catalonia.
Geprom will participate alongside the IoT Catalan Alliance and ACCIÓ at the IoT Solutions World Congress, which will take place from October 16-18 in Barcelona.
