Geprom participated today in the MarketPlace Industry 4.0, driven by the Catalan agency ACCIÓ, to present real and proven solutions for the connected industry in the most demanding industrial sectors. During the session, attending companies had the opportunity to learn about these solutions, interact with providers, ask questions, and explore the feasibility of implementing them in their processes, products, or services.

Dario Cesena, CEO of Geprom, delivered a presentation explaining the company’s main technological solutions and success stories in terms of Smart Factory, with a special emphasis on the importance of people on the journey towards factories with more flexible, intelligent, and efficient processes.

During the lecture, the Legato Sapient monitoring system was presented, along with real success stories where the platform is used to plan, control, and monitor real-time information from the production process (inventory, order planning, breakdowns, production management, traceability, energy management, efficiencies, and yields, among others). The captured data is processed and stored in real-time, becoming personalized reports for analysis and decision-making.

One of the key reflections of the session was the importance of having an automated factory ready to implement digital technologies. In this regard, Geprom offers solutions that encompass electrical engineering, PLC programming, communication networks, electrical installations, and the commissioning of facilities. It is only when the factory is automated that we can process the thousands of data points generated by machines, workshops, factories, customers, and suppliers.

Finally, and most importantly, we have the people, who are the real protagonists of this revolution. Industry is undergoing significant changes, so it is key that all departments and individuals involved in the processes are prepared and ambitious enough to meet the new 4.0 demands.

More than 20 industrial companies from Catalonia, providing services around Industry 4.0, were invited to present their solutions and success stories. Additionally, individual meetings took place, allowing attending companies to forge new connections with professionals from the sector.
