This morning the Mobile World Congress Barcelona came to an end, renamed for this edition as MWC19. More than 109,000 visitors attended the world’s most important exhibition in the mobile industry, where they could see, touch, and experience the best in technology.
Geprom presented its products and services for the digitization of the production and connectivity of the factories, among which the MES Legato Sapient system and other innovative products such as Finito ShiftBook, QDA Software, the digital board or the digital twin stood out. The thousands of visitors who attended the fair were able to see how these solutions will face the challenges posed by the fourth industrial revolution.
This year’s themes revolved around intelligent connectivity, a concept that includes flexible and high-speed 5G networks, IoT (Internet of Things), AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Big Data. This powerful combination marks the beginning of a new era, defined by highly personalized experiences, which is transforming not only the industry but our entire world.
The aim of Geprom for this fair was to strengthen its presence in the sector and to be able to work on projects with new clients and contacts in the telecommunications and industry sector. In the context of the MWC and based on this new objective, Geprom and Telefónica signed an agreement to boost the digitization of factories in Spain.
During the four days of the event, more than 2,400 companies showed their technology, products, and more advanced services in the more than 120,000m2 of space of the Fira Gran Via in Hospitalet. For their part, the 77 most innovative Catalan companies –Geprom among them– exhibited their commitment to intelligent connectivity in the Catalonia regional pavilion (coordinated by ACCIÓ).
The event, which brought together visitors from almost 200 countries, had the highest attendance in its history, and is already preparing its next annual meeting for February 24-27, 2020.
