Returning to Advanced Factories every year is a dose of industrial inspiration. But the 2025 edition was something more. With over 38,000 professionals gathered at Fira Barcelona – Gran Vía, this event surpassed itself, establishing itself as the epicenter of Industry 4.0 in Southern Europe.
Three intense days of conversations, learning, and technology demonstrations with great professionals from the sector. Alongside Telefónica Tech and Telefónica Empresas, we shared a proposal that showcased an intralogistics demo: a real and functional solution that demonstrates how the automation of internal movements in a plant can optimize time and reduce costs, combining intelligence, connectivity, and human-machine collaboration.

In an environment where OT-IT integration is essential, we deployed a complete technological proposal that evidenced this convergence:
- A unified MOM platform, which integrated all operational modules for more agile and efficient management.
- MES solutions for discrete and process manufacturing, improving traceability and precision in production.
- Advanced SCADA systems for real-time energy supervision.
- Digital Twin applications for process simulation and optimization.
- Automation of industrial processes, from logistics to data capture in the plant.
- And a robust proposal in OT cybersecurity, to protect connected industrial environments.

In this edition, there was talk about the need to reindustrialize Europe and strengthen technological autonomy. It is no longer just a discourse: it is a movement in progress. There was also talk of innovation, but also about the major challenges of our industry: the lack of technical talent, the need for investment, and the importance of building collaborative ecosystems.
Other data from this edition of Advanced Factories: more than 1,400 innovations were presented in technologies such as AI, artificial vision, predictive maintenance, industrial 5G, OT cybersecurity, digital twins, and MES-MOM integration. And in the Industry 4.0 Congress, 427 speakers debated the new models of the smart industry. It was a true X-ray of the present and future of the sector.
Participating this year alongside Telefónica Tech and Telefónica Empresas was not only a privilege but also a confirmation that we are on the right path: that of leading the industrial digital transformation through innovation, technology, and collaboration. Because it’s not just about technology, but about people who believe in real, sustainable, and collaborative change.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth, who shared ideas, challenges, and coffee. We continue building the industry of the future together.
