Legumbres La Cochura S.A., headquartered in Tarancón (Cuenca, Spain), is one of Spain’s three largest dry legume packaging companies. Founded in 1996, the company has established itself as a national leader in the selection, packaging, and distribution of high-quality beans, lentils, and chickpeas.
As its business continued to grow and the need to remain competitive increased, La Cochura decided to take a major technological step forward by modernizing its production facility.
The Challenge: Automating the End of the Production Line
The agri-food industry often relies heavily on manual, repetitive processes, particularly in the final stages of the production line, such as palletizing, stretch wrapping, and internal logistics handling. In addition to requiring significant physical effort, these tasks limit production speed and expose employees to avoidable workplace risks.
The project’s objective was clear: to fully automate Legumbres La Cochura’s end-of-line operations, eliminating production bottlenecks, improving worker safety, and increasing the plant’s production capacity.
